Racing Electronics
Becomes Official Communications Provider of FASCAR & 44th Annual World Series of
Asphalt Stock Car Racing
CONCORD, NC (December 30, 2009) - The Florida
Association of Stock Car Auto Racing (FASCAR) and its three flagship race
tracks, New Smyrna Speedway, Orlando SpeedWorld and Columbia Motorsports Park,
are the homes of some of the toughest short track battles not just in the
Sunshine State. In addition to that, prestigious
events such as the World Series of Stock Car Racing in February, the Governor's
Cup in November and more at all three facilities are renowned across the
country.
Racing Electronics, in its 20-plus years in the motorsports
industry, has become the number-one source for professional race
communications. RE has earned a
reputation as the industry leader from coast-to-coast and beyond in NASCAR,
NHRA, World of Outlaws and more, including some of the top short track racing
series and tracks.
Fittingly, Racing Electronics and FASCAR announced today that
they have formed a partnership for RE to become the "Official Communications Provider
of FASCAR," uniting two of the industry's top names in a way to benefit the
racers and officials at all three FASCAR facilities.
"The partnership between Racing Electronics and FASCAR is
intended to provide the tracks, series and racers in Florida an unprecedented
level of support from a race communications provider," said Kevin Hughes,
Racing Electronics' Team Services Manager.
"The short track competitors made us what we are today, and we make
every effort to provide superior support & service to those valued
customers across the country. We're
proud to take our support one step further by partnering with FASCAR in 2010
and beyond."
As the home of some of short track racing's most historic
events, FASCAR facilities will be equipped with industry-leading communications
technology from Racing Electronics to further enhance the on-track product at
New Smyrna, Orlando and Columbia.
"We are extremely excited about our partnership with Racing
Electronics," said Kim Brown, General Manager of New Smyrna Speedway and
FASCAR. "I believe Racing Electronics
will provide FASCAR superior products and service and will guarantee the tracks and the racers that their
communication needs will be met. It will also benefit us to have Racing
Electronics trackside at our larger events."
Racing Electronics' mobile sales
and service teams will be on-site at many of the FASCAR events at New Smyrna,
Orlando and Columbia, including the upcoming Red Eye 100 at New Smyrna Speedway
on January 2nd.
All three FASCAR tracks will play
host to some of short track racing's most anticipated events in 2010. In addition to the Red Eye 100 Super Late
Model event, New Smyrna Speedway will host the 44th Annual World
Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing February 4th through 13th. Orlando SpeedWorld will kick off with its
annual Legends and Bandolero Winter Nationals February 8th through
13th. Throughout the 2010
season, all three FASCAR tracks will host Super Late Model races for the
new Florida All Star Tour. Orlando SpeedWorld will host two Crash-A-Rama events
and New Smyrna Speedway will feature the Billie Harvey Memorial on April 24th
and the 45th Annual Florida Governor's Cup 200 in November.
Racing Electronics manufactures and
supplies a complete line of race communication products and accessories and has
been serving the professional drivers and pit crews, as well as the race fan,
for more than 20 years.
