(02.16.10 - New Smyrna Speedway) Work has begun to make repairs to the Turns 3 and 4 area of the high-banked half-mile.

Recent heavy rains at the facility have resulted in numerous areas of the track showing wear beyond what would normally be expected just 3 years after the track was last paved.

Due to the repairs taking place, the track will be closed for all testing for a three week period.

There is an Open Practice tentatively scheduled for Thursday March 11, 2010 for teams tuning up for the season opener on Saturday March 13, 2010.
