Former Winners Struggle, Travis Cope Charges to Win Governor's Cup 200 at New Smyrna Speedway

It wasn’t a good day to be a former Florida Governor’s Cup 200 winner on Sunday afternoon.  Augie Grill, Jeff Choquette and Wayne Anderson all were caught up in wrecks throughout the wild 200-lap race at central Florida’s New Smyrna Speedway.  The 2009 winner, Tim Russell, also crashed in practice and was forced to withdraw his entry. Saturday Night Washed Out at Governor's Cup - Sunday a go for Qualifying and 49th Annual Gov. Cup 200

New Smyrna Speedway was forced to cancel racing on Saturday night after persistent rain showers passed through the New Smyrna Speedway area. A reminder for Super Late Model teams about the breakfast at 9:30am Sunday morning of the race.  The breakfast is sponsored by Phase 1 Motorsports Eagle Jet International Team.  More information will be available at the track this weekend.




Grill Going For Three-Peat At Florida Governor’s Cup
